Sweeping

Another simple but often overlooked part of mold prevention is the consistent sweeping of your deck. We recommend sweeping on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to clear off the harmful chemicals that over time can turn into a big problem. In addition to cleaning off the small particles off your deck, sweeping can remove large debris like leaves and grass which create moist shaded areas and are breeding grounds for mold.

Remember that old 90’s song by SNAP!, “I’ve got the power” well you really do this time, especially with a power washer. Spraying your deck with a power washer with a strong sprayer can really clean off some of the nasty particles that have formed.
